Sophisticated Sundays – downtown in Columbus, OH

Busy Week? Looking for something Low Key to do? Why not stay close to home, Stay in Budget, and See Something New.

There are many things to do in Columbus on Sundays. Be it a sophisticated day date for two, a different type of family activity, or peaceful time alone, I hope you give these suggestions a try.

Mimosas at Bernards

Stop by Bernards Tavern a comfortable, sports bar atmosphere for the $4 Sunday Mimosas Special. Opens at 11AM Sat & Sun

Columbus Art Museum

Columbus Art Museum located downtown at 480 E Broad Street. Free Admission Sundays is a good way to experience the museum for the first time, stay as long or as short as you’d like. They have children’s activities for families, interesting exhibits, and thought provoking art. Do something difference and give it a chance you may just find yourself lost in the beauty of something you never expected to appreciate. Open 10-5 Sat & Sun

Katzinger’s Deli

An ionic Deli in Columbus on the North End of German Village at Third and Livingston, Katzinger’s serves up the best grilled sandwiches. A full service deli serving deli meats and a wide variety of cheeses. One of my favorite things about this ol time deli, is the Pickle Barrels!!! Free with a Sandwich.

Dessert from Schmidt’s

While in German Village; pick up dessert! Nothing like a Schmidt’s Cream Puff. Get one to share or take one home to enjoy in your lounge clothes while binge watching your favorite show or the latest Red Box rental.

The above trip was a great Sunday outing. A step outside of the norm, a chance to get out early on Sunday and go explore new places. New sights inspire different conversations and we were home relaxing by 4, enjoying our own Cream Puffs (sharing was just a suggestion… 🙂
